Who knows? Depends how popular a model it has been in the US. Which size
of Katana?

A lot of parts are generic - brakes, suspension and so on, and
availability (based on other, older, deleted models) is pretty much
indefinite. Used parts can always be found.

Obscure pieces of trim, bodywork, etc, become harder to find as time
goes by, but they can be repaired, or pattern items bought.

The fact that plenty of people here run 20 year-old and even 30
year-old Jap bikes without worrying too much about getting bits should
be a hint.

If the bike is a bargain, buy it.
