Default Advice on new helmet

I'm looking for a new helmet as my old one is a bit sad looking these days. Can anyone suggest a good brand of helmet for comfort and safety?

Thanks!

Me too! Have been trying on many. Prob I have is needing a XXS, and not too many of the places I've been to around Auckland (NZ) stock them in such small sizes...so can't try many on for fit/comfort etc.
Ahh well.

I bought my new Bluetooth Helmet from JS Store two weeks ago and its costs me 150 pounds as cheaper i can get and its durability no doubt really magnificient. I would suggest you to visit that store.

I'm very much a fan of my Shoei XR1000. Really nice fit, very light which was important for me as i've got a dodgy neck. NZ$800 with graphics, NZ$600 without.

You need to go try a few one because they're all subtley different in internal shape. Gotta get one that's comfortable. Dont buy off the net unless you've actually tried it on previously.

Had a bit of a disagreement with a car last month, whcih forced me to get A into G, in the helmet department.

Went into Motomail (Ponsonby, Akld, NZ) to try on a few, and came across a *very* cool HJC CL-14 helmet in a 'Youth' size...just perfect for my smaller head.
They'd got one in for someone who didn't want it, and voila.... it was mine. Love the design on it (Mush, for you HJC followers). Angry mushrooms!!

Keep in mind that helmet prices and style does not mean it's better. My opinion is that as long as it is DOT or Snell Certified. Your fine.

hey

I bought a Scala Rider from Supercheap Auto on the weekend . It is basically a helmet connected with a bluetooth set. also I can listen my favourite music while riding- it does business, even in heavy traffic and at high speeds. I am loving it. I only bought the basic version but I know I can use it with the other fancier models.

Default Advice on new helmet

Hi,
Well....... I'm looking for a new show helmet and was just wondering what brands you recommend. I don't want to spend a huge amount on it like no more than 200 or around there. Also for shows is it okay if you have a Grey strip down the front or should it be completely black, like I've seen it on Charles Owen helmets. Would something like this be okay.
