Default Motorcycles May Be Allowed To Run Red Lights

South Carolina may soon join 5 other states and allow motorcyclist, mo-ped drivers and bicyclists to run red lights that don't change within 2 minutes. A law Harley Davidson rider, Roger Tumolo thinks will make intersections more dangerous.

"So many cars run red lights and I can see a bike running it. Your asking for trouble," said Tumolo.

The bill is considered necessary because riders say their bikes don't weigh enough to trigger the underground sensors that change a stop light to green; meaning they get stuck waiting at a clear intersection for heavier cars to come along and change the light for them.

Sudden outbreak of common sense. Even though the hog has enough metal in it to activate the sensors at traffic lights, I've ridden some that haven't and it's a pain in the ass.

Thumbs down

That's going to cause A LOT of problems. I think there will be more controversy if its passed then i f it isnt passed.
but, there is a logical reason for passing it....how the motocycles don't weigh enough....

What on earth is the justification for increasing the risk of accidents like that?

I think if that laws pass, it will have more accidents. No doubt about it.
