Default Engineering Student Survey for Racers

Greetings! I am an Engineering student who is doing a project for class to create a motorcycle data acquisition system that outputs lean angle of a motorcycle. If you could answer a few of these questions for my project, that would be great!

Thanks,
Abigail

1) Do you race motorcycles? If yes, what type of racing?

2) DO you currently use a data acquisition system? If yes, what features does it have?

3) Do you have a sensor for lean angle? If not, would you be interested in owning one?

4) If yes to (3), what would you use the lean angle data for?

5) How much would you be willing to pay for a data acquisition system that stores information regarding lean angle?

6) What other data sensors are important to you?

Thanks so much!

I did a bike-related project my senior year at NJIT. Good to hear there is another biker/engineer out there. I also race (non-pro). I gotta agree with adrian, in general. Right now, I get all I need to know about my lean angle from video and pics. It's just that I dont get it until after the event. I wonder of having real-time lean angle feedback would help me, or make me spaz and toss it into the dirt. Interesting concept though.
