Last Wednesday a group of us fron the dealership plus friends rode out for
our newly born hump day ride.
We leave work as soon after 6pm as possible and go somewhere far enough
away for food and libations.
Last week we left Winnipeg for the great metropolis that is Woodridge, MB
First we went through the town of Lorette and gassed up. From there we
headed south through Landmark, over to Giroux and then down to La
Broquerie.
You might have guessed by now this is going through a large chunk of the
local French towns.
At La Broquerie we stopped to get beer and headed off to one of the guy's
cabins out in the Sandilands forest.
This trip takes you from city to farm to hog barns to forest.
The forest, although flat is really pretty and largely untouched.
The occasional town seems to add rather than subtract from it.
The total distance out was about 115 km or maybe 70 miles.
On the way back we stopped in at the La Broquerie bar for wings and beer
where much beer and a multitude of wings were consumed.
From there we headed back into Winnipeg and home.
