My twin boys are 13 years old. I hope they eventually find a
girl like this to hang out with.

MC content: Doing the 35K service on Ripley today. The riding
season is winding down fast here in Kansas, so I wanna get her
all set for the winter.

Temps here are still in the upper 90's, the best part of our year round riding
season is here. Time to shift to riding down south for the winter......

Really???

This is based on a questionnaire filled out by one of his staff people twelve
years ago.......

In this article the only things directly attributable (quoted) to him are:

"I think there is an individual right to bear arms, but it's subject to
commonsense regulation." - Barrack Obama

His stance always seems to have been that we have a right to "bear arms" but
under some circumstances state/local rules would be allowed. Since a recent
Supreme Court case ruled the other way, I don't know where (if anywhere) he
would be able to go with it.....most probably no-where.

More of the same stuff from the blog of a woman who served on the Board of
Directors for the NRA.....and nothing new there, just more references to the
1996 survey one of his staffers checked a box on.....

Get serious.......

I'm with ya on this. I live in a state where the use of lethal force in self
defense is damn near a sacrament.

I believe a woman should be allowed to have an abortion if she needs one, I
don't however believe abortion should be used as routine birth control. Too many
other up front options are available.

Bingo!

Why won't he define just what "commonsense regulation" is?

But what side of the fence does he lean on?
Do YOU think you have the right to own a firearm, regardless of type?

I am serious.
The "age" of the things he STILL believes in and was documented as
saying, has nothing to do with anything.. unless he retracted those
those thoughts and said differently.

Bingo.
But should one be limited to the type of defence?

But, not if she WANTS ONE?

Only "need" is of your concern?

That's where you and I will forever disagree.
I would hate to a pregnant woman that has fallen under YOUR discription
of what is "a need", much like Obama and most Liberals say "You don't
"need" a firearm that can shoot semi-automaticaly.. or carry so many
rounds."

> I
> don't however believe abortion should be used as routine birth control. Too many

It's not up to us men to say what kind of unwanted growth is happening
in women.
It's not even up to OTHER women!
I am not even saying that abortion is a form of birth control, as you
put it.

All I am saying about these subjects, is that "THE Individuals" should
have their own choice, and options!

If a woman wants an abortion, then let her have one... let her pay for it!
(in cases of rape, incest, or other forced impregnation's against a
woman who is financially strapped) then allow the state to help on a
basis by basic count)

>>But regarding the topic mentioned in the subject header.. _I_ want to
>>date her!

If she would have me.

I thinks she's too smart for me though.

ok - some facts, here is the 1st shot that he does not want us to have
ccw's

>“I am not in favor of concealed weapons,” Obama said. “I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get >shot during) >altercations.

here is his stance on that AR-15 you say he doesn't want removed from
your possesion

>"Obama: Bush erred in failing to renew assault weapons ban
>
> KEYES: [to Obama]: I am a strong believer in the second amendment. The gun control mentality is ruthlessly absurd. It suggests that we should pass a law that prevents law abiding citizens from carrying weapons. You end up with a situation where the crook have all the guns and the law abiding citizens cannot defend themselves. I guess that's good enough for Senator Obama who voted against the bill that would have allowed homeowners to defend themselves if their homes were broken into.
>
>OBAMA: Let's be honest. Mr. Keyes does not believe in common gun control measures like the assault weapons bill. Mr. Keyes does not believe in any limits from what I can tell with respect to the possession of guns, including assault weapons that have only one purpose, to kill people. I think it is a scandal that this president did not authorize a renewal of the assault weapons ban.

Now that IS what Obama Said, that means that 11 yr ol girl shooting
that Ar-15 will cease to happen, it means I will never be able to
shoot any 3 gun action sports again with any of my kids, wife or
grandchildren, Obama wants assault style weapons banned and
garUnteed, you elect that prick into office and it will happen, he
will have so many demoNcrats on his side and in total control of our
government it will happen Steve, that is one thing I would have
thought even YOU a die hard leftist would be against.

here is more........

http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/bara...un_control.htm

Ban semi-automatics, and more possession restrictions
Principles that Obama supports on gun issues:
Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of
firearms.
Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.

Obama was being misleading when he denied that his handwriting
had been on a document endorsing a state ban on the sale and
possession of handguns in Illinois. Obama responded, "No, my writing
wasn't on that particular questionnaire. As I said, I have never
favored an all-out ban on handguns."

Actually, Obama's writing was on the 1996 document, which was filed
when Obama was running for the Illinois state Senate. A Chicago
nonprofit, Independent Voters of Illinois, had this question, and
Obama took hard line:

35. Do you support state legislation to:
a. ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns? Yes.
b. ban assault weapons? Yes.
c. mandatory waiting periods and background checks? Yes.

Obama's campaign said, "Sen. Obama didn't fill out these state Senate
questionnaires--a staffer did--and there are several answers that
didn't reflect his views then or now. He may have jotted some notes on
the front page of the questionnaire, but some answers didn't reflect
his views."

.........

2000: cosponsored bill to limit purchases to 1 gun per month
Obama sought moderate gun control measures, such as a 2000 bill he
cosponsored to limit handgun purchases to one per month (it did not
pass). He voted against letting people violate local weapons bans in
cases of self-defense, but also voted in2004 to let retired police
officers carry concealed handguns.

.................

Concealed carry OK for retired police officers
Obama voted for a bill in the Illinois senate that allowed retired law
enforcement officers to carry concealed weapons. If there was any
issue on which Obama rarely deviated, it was gun control. He was the
most strident candidate when it came to enforcin and expanding gun
control laws. So this vote jumped out as inconsistent.
When I queried him about the vote, he said, "I didn't find that [vote]
surprising. I am consistently on record and will continue to be on
record as opposing concealed carry. This was a narrow exception in an
exceptional circumstance where a retired police officer might find
himself vulnerable as a consequence of the work he has previously
done--and had been trained extensively in the proper use of firearms."

It wasn't until a few weeks later that another theory came forward
about the uncharacteristic vote. Obama was battling with his GOP
opponent to win the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police.

heck this should be enough right there, for the NRA and Brady bunch to
agree <g>

Friday, October 17, 2008

In a rare occurrence, NRA and the Brady Campaign (formerly Handgun
Control, Incorporated) agree on something.

Four years ago, the Brady Campaign endorsed an anti-gun senator by the
name of John Kerry for President, and NRA thought that decision made
sense—for an anti-gun group.

This week, in a testament to his anti-gun record, Barack Obama also
received a presidential endorsement from the Brady Campaign.

So, once again, the Brady Campaign and NRA are in total
agreement—Barack Obama is, by far, the most anti-gun presidential
nominee in history and he certainly deserves the endorsement of one of
the most outspoken anti-gun organizations in the country.

Regular is still $3.29 or higher here in Seattle. Is it time to start
raising the taxes on it to keep it at $4 to fund the development of
the alternatives? Maybe not. How about if all the rich fucks making
over $250k a year (individuals, not companies) all paid $10/gal?

As a "repup" that wants all people to have a choice, stop being a
typical, liberal socialist that DOESN'T want anobody to have a say at all!

We all know how Tipper Gore attempted to snuff out music she didn't
"approve of" via the PMRC!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! that is such bullshit and no we aren't even close to
250k a year income, I cant believe that there are those out there that
want to punish the people that have made something for them self. then
again, I can't believe there are democrats out there that make more

His staff filled out a card/survey with their own opinions without his knowledge.

A recent Supreme Court ruling on a case in Washington DC. which would tend, I
hope, to end any debate about a bullshit patchwork of rules and regulations at
the local level.

Always pisses me off that I have to research local/state laws concerning
firearms when I travel. Depending on local/state laws I sometimes have to adjust
my travel routes/plans......in rare cases I even have to leave my gun at home.
California makes it tough to have a gun in your possession, but not impossible.
Colorado has such a variety of regulations from town to town, county to county
that it's nearly impossible to figure out when you're legal and when you're not.

So what's wrong with commonsense regulations?? We've had them for years. Waiting
periods, background checks, etc.

Since his main background in education has been teaching constitutional law at
the University of Chicago.......I'd say ("assume") that he would lean towards
the constitution and legal decisions supporting the law.

Yep......but I see nothing wrong with being required to pass background checks,
acquire/qualify for special permits for certain types of weapons (like full auto
machine guns), etc. which would certainly qualify as rules and conditions.

Meaning????

If I'm in a public place and someone approaches me and yells insults, I'm not
legally allowed to do much more than yell back. If I get punched in the
nose.....I can punch back.

If I'm in my car (in my state) and someone (armed or not) attempts to remove me
from my vehicle (carjacking) I'm allowed to respond with deadly force.

According to recent state law here, if I'm in my residence (a motel room would
qualify as a residence) and someone entered illegally for whatever reason....I'm
allowed to stand my ground and use whatever means is at my disposal to protect
myself. The assumption here is that the intruder's presence alone is enough of a
threat to warrant the use of deadly force in self defense.

I didn't say that....unlike the current presidential race, I'm only responsible
for things I actually say.....

A woman's desire to have an abortion is not my concern at all.....

Um......if a woman's not pregnant, she wouldn't "need" an abortion. If a woman
and her husband want to have kids and she gets knocked up.....she wouldn't
"need" an abortion.

Duh.......

I never said it was......

> put it.

My point was, and always will be that people who don't want kids should do
something about it up front.......too many possibilities these days to deal with
that kinda stuff other than waking up one morning and saying "Oh Shit I'm
pregnant"......and then having to deal with all the emotional issues surround
the decisions and outcomes.

Making those decisions and carrying them out is a heart wrenching process even
for pro-choice folks.

But in the case of some dumbass waking up to that oh shit moment.....then
deciding she needs to have an abortion.....that would be up to her.

My opinion exactly......always has been no matter how some people try to
interpret what I say about it.

Should be covered by health insurance too.....as birth control should be. If the
fucking insurance companies won't cover birth control, they damn well oughta
STOP paying for Viagra.......

I've never seen anyone carry an AR-15 concealed even with a permit.

Mr. Keyes does not believe in any limits from what I can tell with respect to the possession of guns, including assault weapons that have only one purpose, to kill people. I think it is a scandal that this president did not authorize a renewal of the assault weapons ban.

I don't believe it at all........even during the period of the "ban", I knew
plenty of people who owned those types of weapons, full auto weapons, bought and
sold those types of weapons.......under the terms of the law.

His "desire" to ban anything will be tempered by the congress and the courts.
That's the way our system works. It's worked since the beginning and will
continue to work.

I look at the earlier ban on "assault weapons" in the same light that I view
Prohibition.......a law that was passed at a certain point in time that was
later reversed.

I'm sure we still have people in this country who favor a complete prohibition
of alcohol, doesn't mean it'll happen. And Shirley doesn't mean people should
freak out about it like it will.......

Have a drink and relax.......things will be OK.

I REALLY think you should take the time to read your own source.

<snipped a bunch> If you're going to provide the URL, there's really no need to
quote the entire article.

I did read that the lower prices would indeed delay the development of
alternative energy sources.......

People just don't get it......

Proved my point.......

More words stuffed in my mouth that I didn't say.

I'm liberal, but not a socialist, and far from typical.

About $2.49 here in Kansas City area.

Makes sense...the economy is in the shitter, so let's raise taxes.

And how about this...the poor guys don't pay anything for gas. We could
have a graduated price scale that grows as the income level rises. From
each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.
(Hmmmm. Where have I heard *that* before?)

I have a friend who makes more than $250K a year. Owns his own
manufacturing business here in Gardner KS. Started it in 1986 on his
kitchen table. Works his ass off. Employs 140 full time people. Next
time you're in town I'll introduce you and you can tell him he's a rich
fuck and isn't paying his share of taxes, and that he should, as Obama
said, "spread the wealth around." (Which is simply the short version of
"From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.")

You're bigger than he is, so he'll hafta hit you with a baseball bat
during the ensuing fight. <sfsf>

And THAT tempers his opinions I'm sure.

You should see the horrified looks we get over here from out of state visitors
when they see people carrying firearms in the open in places like grocery
stores, etc.

People here don't give it a second thought since it's been legal pretty much
forever and therefor fairly "normal".

Might have different opinions if we had a long, bloody history of street
violence and death I'm sure.
