| | | An HD-branded dune buggy? I suppose the MoCo will soon be selling more spaghetti monsters now that
they're buying MV Agusta and Cagiva. Here's an early 90's Cagiva,
the Mini-Moke. Looks like a sheet-metal version of the Meyers Manx.

Looks like a slightly larger version of a John Deer Gator. |

No shit. Doesn't look like it'd have enough ground clearance for shit
either. I'll stick with my Baja with 14" of ground clearance for rock
crawling, hill climbing, and mud slinging fun. http://triumphchoppers.com/albums/album49/agi.jpg
I've been putting some videos on youtube, plan on getting all 4 wheels
off the ground at this spot on the next trip out.

I checked with Kennedy Engineering. He said I was the first person ever
to ask for a HD Big Twin to VW transmission adapter. Then he laughed
real hard.

Sounds like an interesting combo to me.

Been done already. Some three wheelers in production with that setup.

A MiniMoke is a variant of a MINI. Not really made for off-road as much
for beachy resort kind of stuff. They used to have a model that had a
surrey top with fringe. That's the level of off-roader it is. More
from the resort hotel to the flat beach than any sort of boggery.
But very cool in their own right.

Surprising, I took one look at that thing and said MINI

Hell, Morgan had the same with JAP engines long ago. I rode in one in
1965 and they were around long before that. I just think it would be
neat to put three Big Twins into a little car. Somehow.

As in Mini-Cooper? I suppose any tiny car with a roof would look like a
Mini to an American. Even the Mini-Cooper had more class than the
vehicle in question.
For yucks, there's a guy in Iowa selling brand-new Chinese mini-trucks
for $5,500. The manufacturer, shipping company, the retailer -
everybody is making a profit. $5,500! Of course ya can't get a title for
it. That shit is gonna change eventually when we have to pay the real
price for gasoline as Europe has forever. |

Underneath the Island Hopper bodywork beats the heart of a mini cooper

Fair enough. It never was much of an engine. Underneath the body of
Frankenstein is the heart of... Mel Brooks? Yeah, the Mini engine is
something like that. |

Engine (not new BMW) size 850 to 1275cc's pushrod motors not even a
cross flow head, weak at best.
