Sounds like the outside oughta be around an inchannaquatta squrred . I
think I got a chunk that big in diameter . How far from the end is the
(bolt) groove ?

Without looking, I'd say half way down.
Got the top end on, eng in bike, triple trees on and forks
disassembled for polishing and new seals.
After the forks is the wiring harness I think. Then I got to start
painting again. I ordered my own air brush as opposed to using the
boss's, should be here this week.
I'm taking next Sat off to ride. Prolly work on it Sunday.

Disregard first reply. Groove starts 1/4" from end of stub and is
1/4" wide. 'Tis a dark walk out to the shop at this time of day<g>.
