I have the GPS Navigation unit on my 07-Screamin Eagle Ultra, it's visual
display SUX, the red backlight on the LCD panel is very hard or me to read.
What you get though is text & ETA data concerning your progress to a
selected target.
They system gives you audiable turn by turn instructions which a pretty
accurate once you learn it quirks, when your about a mile from a turn point
it will tell you to "Prepare for a manuver (Turn, merge, etc), it will then
remind you as you get closer, IIRC: 700ft, 100ft, and at the execution
point.
The first few times I turned way too early, finding myself in someones
driveway and not the intersection I was looking for.
It has features to plotting routes using/avoiding Highways, Ferry's,
TollRoads, Fastest or shortest routes.
I has a memory to store favorite destination! IF ya go frequent enough why
would ya need t-b-t directions after the initial learning curve?!
Preprogrammed destination of all HD Dealers, local sites, food, lodging,
fuel, phone numbers to all establishments so you can call ahead to the
anticipated way station for the night over, meal stop in transit and verify
availability.
A HOME button which you can set to where ever, I chose home, for those days
when I try to get lost in New England, I can find my way home with a push of
one button.
Overall the function of the unit is great, I would just like a brighter &
bolder contrast on the display so that when I am reading & programming the
unit (NOT WHILE IN MOTION) I can see what the hell I'm doing.
