Default Rollin' the dice on an '09

Ordered an '09 Ultra. I hope I didn't fuck up. The dealer gave me a
good deal and a fairly high trade in on my '05. I'll be glad when it's
gone.

Didn't miss my '05 a bit. At least you won't have cold thighs! <g>

Although the frame, swingarm and wider tire are a bonus I don't think it's a
must-have upgrade. Gonna let the aftermarket catch up fer a while. Zippers
is threatening a '08-compatible TM by the end of the year. Mebbe it'll be
compatible with the '09s too. At the very least a guy oughta be able to
change his own idle speed and adjust timing if he wants too......

I'm singin' the same song as I did with the '05. I'm not goin' to fuck with the
new one, not even mufflers. Well I hope I'm not anyway. From the '05 to the '09
there's a lot of shit different. Engine, tranny, stereo, forks (I hope) and the
stuff you mentioned. I think it's enough to do the deal. I spent all day today
turning mine back to bone ass stock. To be honest it don't run bad like this. I
only rode it something like 60 miles (the ride home) before fuckin with it when
I bought it so I never really rode it stock. I'm gonna sell all of the shit I
took off of it and probably not fuck with the new one until next year. Then
it'll probably only be a seat, amp and speakers. I'm really tired of the noise
so I doubt I'll do anything to the engine or exhaust system.

They're giving me 14K. May not seem like a lot to some folks but after
having four other dealers offer me 11K and a Honda dealer offer me 10K I
figure it's a good number. All of the low ball dealers claimed the 96 inch
engine and six speed killed the *value* of my '05. I've ridden it for four
years, got it Aug of '04.

Everything that didn't come on it from the factory. I'll send you a
list of the take offs once I got one together. It'll be a week or so.
I'm doin' a big push at the shop right now to get some of the *vintage*
crap out of there before I take some time off at the end of the month.
Rodney injected?

Yup, with a 95" kit with air cleaner, but no cam/pipes, and he's got a
PCIII.

Come on down for the weekend. Only about 6hrs away.

Thanks Danny. I think I really want a two-into-one setup.

I had an '05 with 95" kit put in before I picked it up from the dealer.
When I traded it in for an '07, I said the same things you are. I even was
OK with the stock pipes.

....until the third time a car eased into my lane on the highway. It's the
one time the "loud pipes..." crap has some merit. I threw on the SE
mufflers I took off the '05, pieced together an AC with K&N filter and got a
used PCIII.

Can't do the weekend but I'm heading South next week. No real
destination just going to get lost is all. Shoot me an email if your going
to be around. I'll actually put in the effort to make it your way. Not
real sure of when though just know it'll be next week as long as the sdhtf
here.
