Went out for a ride about midday. It was in the mid 50s. Felt like I
was freezing my ass off and got to laughing at myself remembering how
when I lived in Seattle a day in the mid 50's was a fine day to ride and
a day as clear as today was would have found me up riding in the mountains.

What are you guys gonna do if it gets COLD?
A couple of us left for a ride Saturday at 6AM, a balmy 35 degrees when we
left. The high for the day was 52 or there abouts. 530 miles. I was
definitely a fashion statement, wearing my Carr-Hart insulated bibs! Stinkie
would have been proud!

Hey, I like those. Rode to work yesterday at 32 degrees and they worked
just fine. Don't have any lowers on the Fugly bike like I do the shovel, so
my feet were cold, but it's only 11 miles to work, so I can cope.

.... and I love the lowers , they keep my feet a lot warmer .

The lowers off Pearl won't fit Fugly. One side of the crash bars is bent a
bit. I have to disconnect the speedo this morning before I go to work.
Started making noises yesterday and lubing the cable didn't help. Last time
I ignored noises like this was on the Ford, and a couple of miles later the
needle fell off the speedo.
Ah, well, gives me somthing to fix this weekend.

On a happier note , I did manage to get my shifter arm tight . I just had
to be more persuasive ... do it right later this winter , when I put that
new-to-me 65t pulley and a new belt on .
