It was a very nice weekend here in NC. This will be my first fall and
early winter here. So far it's been pretty good riding, though not as
much as I would like.
One thing I'm not used to is the increased tourist traffic. It's bad
this time of year, myriads of mini vans with the little cargo holders on
top zooming in front of you across two lanes of traffic to make the near
missed exit.
But one quickly learns the routes to avoid, and waits patiently for the
cooler weather and less traffic while exploring the side roads. And for
the first time in my life, cooler doesn't necessarily mean snow.

No, I didn't. I was just passing through on my way to someplace else.
Didn't take the time to stop and savor.

Spent 16 months in Montana.
Most folks were just passing through.
Very interesting place, until winter hits.

montana has 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, STILL winter, and summer.
its going to be tough to park the new harley for 6 months.

62 degrees when I rode in today, in St. Louis. Almost wore the leather
jacket instead of the mesh, but it's gonna be over 80 comin' home.

Went out and enjoyed those mountains Saturday. Went 20 to 400 to it's
end and headed to Blairsville over Blood Mountain. Temps were great! I
was surprised that there was not much bike traffic (or any other type)
around the Suches area, as it was a perfect day for a ride. But that
just made it more enjoyable as I tend to ride rather slow in the
twisties and like to enjoy the view.

Returning to Suwanee it got hot again.

Melbourne is just around 85 miles south of Daytona.
Not much happening there.
Believe me, I know all too well.
