| | | What cool stuff Snag did for me! Got back from New Mexico yesterday and waiting for me at home were the
footpegs and brake/clutch pegs that Snag machined for me while I was
away. Exactly what I wanted, in fact better than I wanted. HE cut and
gnurled the brass tubes beautifully and turned cut down and threaded the
humungous stainless steel bolts perfectly. Better than I was hoping for.
I've been sitting on those gigantic bolts for probably ten years waiting
for the right build to use them on and now I can. I'm a happy, happy guy.
Pics are across the street.
Thanks and all respect to Snag for doing a seriously fine job on a
poorly described project and making it all come out cool. I really,
really appreciate it.
BTW, is the Banker still the one to send EKIII contributions to and it
his addy still the one on the auction page?
Thanks.

Way cool. The only downside, every time you put your feet on those pegs
you're gonna think of Snag. (SFSF)

As far as I know, my checks get cashed. Eventually.

Ain't snippin a thang.
Snag has fun with that stuff, just shoot the shit with him irl and
you'll get that feeling real quick.
Just wanted to comment, amidst all the "gee somebody flamed me so I
hide in the corner" stuff that for every one post like this you read
about, there's prolly fifty more you don't.
Glad it all worked out, ain't surprised a bit.
Drinks for all, the good shit for Snag and the others.

You know, you're right. Despite all the bile that we sometimes unleash
on each other, either kidding or for real, this place still remains the
most unusual newsgroup I know of. I've been hanging here for a few
years and I've been pretty much out of the IRL loop for maybe five or
six years but still this place is at it's heart a kind of family.
People here reach out and help each other more selflessly, more
willingly, more spontaneously than anyplace else I know.
Which makes me want to get back in the IRL loop more than ever. There
are just too many good folks here who I've never met. I need to fix
that. Hell, I almost certainly need to apologize for insulting at least
half of them.
Who's up for a group hug?
