Default Compliments on the sound of my bike

I guess that stock Concours sound is a lot cooler than I thought it was,
at least according to some random dude at the gas station. I'm used to
people telling me it's a good looking bike, first time anybody has told
me how good it sounds. Then again, the guy WAS driving a diesel pickup.

I've had that happen a few times. Mostly saying how quiet it was. I point
out that all Harleys come from the factory quiet as well...which surprises
many of them.

I got just the opposite reaction the other day. I was sitting on my
KLR, and some woman walked by. As she got close to my bike, she
grimaced, and put her fingers in her ears to drown out the noise. But
I hadn't even started the bike yet.

I got a compliment once on my Pan Head after I installed dual pipes. Pulled
into a filling station in a small town and the teenager working there looked
at the blue chrome on the pipes next to the cylinder heads and said that
sure is a pretty blue. Then proceeded to lay his fingers on it. I think he
lost his finger prints. Hard way to learn not to touch. W W

Nah. I think it was the echos in her skull.

No one's ever heard that sound. All they hear is the sound of all the
expensive plastic bits cracking...

The footpeg bracket is too cheap for anyone to notice...
