More Limits to Growth

I find repeated reports of economic green shoots blackly humorous:

o 2000 new jobs @ $33.1M from state and local government = $16K/job for
Morgan Aircraft, which hopes to manufacture a business-class VTOL
plane in Sheboygan County. It could work out I suppose.

o 150 jobs brought here from Washington State @ $1.25M from Wisconsin
= $8K/job for Nemschoff Chairs, which manufactures institutional
furniture. The company is operating under new management.

o 57 jobs brought here from Tennessee @ $675K from state and local
government = $12K/job for Eclipse Manufacturing, which builds parts
for small engines. This move has the blessing of the UAW.
