Default Neutral light....

I've stuffed something up when I changed the sprocket/chain on the
Aprilia......the neutral light stays on all the time!

The only thing different is a smaller front sprocket.

I can't see any wires that have been knocked off?........any ideas.....??

You've pinched or abraded the insulation on the neutral switch
wire and it's shorted to earth.

Naw, it's been around for quite a while.

But it's only marketed to castrati.

Well, I hope you fixed it properly. With duct tape.

Sort of.....after loosening the sprocket cover, the pinched wire
fell out. The insulation was torn but the wire was intact so I just
wrapped some insulation tape around it, tucked it into it's guide (which
I should have seen first time around!!) and all is good.

Now to write 100 lines.....

"I must not put the bike back together by 'feel'"

In my defence, it was dark in the shed and my torch battery had gone
flat. I went and got another battery, but then couldn't find where I'd
left the torch!!!

Simple solution. Add a 240V circuit to the shed and put in big-ass 12-foot
fluorescents. Heh.
