Thanks for the road tip off Skyline. That was a very cool "paved"
road through the redwoods. I am not sure if I should kiss you or
curse you.

If you were out riding yesterday, you picked the worst
afternoon in a month or two. Surprised you could even
find the road in the frikkin fog, but glad if you enjoyed it.

I'm always kinda fond of badly paved goatpaths and that
one's at the top of my list.

No kidding. Dense fog, cold, howling wind, I was glad to get off
Skyline and into the trees. And yet Saratoga Gap was nice and sunny.

Due to the fog I wasn't going very fast so it was easy to find.

What kind of bike do you ride on that road? I think a Motard or Duc
Monster would work better than the bike I was on.

BMW R100GS. I would have figured a sporty would
be reasonably OK on that kind of road. Not too heavy,
upright riding position and a fair amount of torque.
Probably about the same weight/displacement as mine.

Sorry I missed you. I finally got to Alices about
4pm when the last few diehards were getting
froze out.
