Just how many groups like Hayseed Dixie do we need?

I actually grew up being exposed to banjo music. My dad plays a little
(very little), but my great-uncle played professionally. Whenever I
hear one, it brings back some great memories.

I dunno, but the one surely isn't enough.

Their version of "Walk This Way" is definitely in my all-time
Top Ten...

Me too, which is why I often ride without earplugs...I figure
there's really not that much more damage POSSIBLE...;-)

So far as commercial success counts as "need", the market decides.

But the vast majority of musicians play what they play strictly
because they enjoy it, not to make a living, and in those cases the
only "need" that applies is that of the individual player.

Our opinions don't count.
