Default Sometimes things go right! (kinda long)

It had been a real tough couple of weeks. When I saw the forecast for
the weekend (70s) I called some friends and we planned a sunday ride in
the mountains. I was readjusting my windshield when a screw stripped
out of one of the mounts. It was just getting worse.

At 4:00 I started calling around for a replacement mount. Nobody had
the hardware I needed, but one shop said they had a used windshield I
could get cheap. It turned out to be one of the ones I was thinking of
buying! It was in great shape and I got it 5 minutes before they
closed.

Sunday we were out 10 hours in the mountains. We took roads I haven't
been on in a while, swapped bikes for a while (got to ride a
Multistrada-great bike!), and visited a friend I hadn't seen in 10
years who had retired to an old cabin. The weather was great and so
was the ride and the company.

When I got home, the squeak in my front forks had gotten much worse. I
was resigned to having them rebuilt and took it in. The mechanic took
one look at it and said the brake cable was rubbing on the plastic
guide. No charge.

It seems whenever life gets tough, everything gets better when I get
the motorcycle involved.
