Default Now I know why my battery went flat

Because most likely my stator is shorted to ground, and that means
the engine has to come out.
On the plus side I don't have to worry about spending a lot of money
on other things.
Arse.

Doing the job yourself though? I hear garage labour fees in Sweden
contribute to famine relief.

Now I know why the 12R was backfiring and the clocks going haywire.

200 miles of Belgian washboard roads had worked the battery earth
loose at the frame end.

Shame i'd already bought a new Gel battery for it as I thought I had a
dead cell. Arse.
